Clamshell Grab uses opposing shells to pick up loose bulk materials through a vertical closing action. It is widely used for loading, stockpiling, dredging, deep excavation and material handling where conventional bucket crowding action is limited or less effective.

Typical materials include soil, sand, gravel, sediment and other loose bulk products. Selection should consider carrier size, required grab volume, material density, opening geometry, working depth, rotation requirements if applicable, hydraulic compatibility and mounting configuration.
